Eleven-year-old Karin, who recently lost her mother, is left in the care of her grandfather by her dad, while he himself disappears to run „important errands.” At the temple looked after by her grandfather, Karin meets Anzu, a talking human-sized cat. And the cat, like a cat, walks its own paths, and is lazy and mischievous. Nevertheless, he rides a scooter, talks a lot on his cell phone and provides services as a massage therapist. Longing for her father and, above all, her deceased mother, Karin embarks on a grand adventure to Tokyo, and Anzu, who travels with her, unexpectedly turns out to be a good traveling companion.
„Anzu. Ghost Cat” is a humorous story not only for cat lovers and Japanese animation fans - it's a touching and warm film about coping with loss, perfect for teens aged 12+, in which a rubbishy tomcat becomes a best friend for the young protagonist.
New screenings for the following week and specific times are added every Wednesday.
