A retired secret agent (Fabio Testi, well known to fans of Italian genre cinema) is spending the autumn of his life in a guesthouse on the Côte d'Azur. The disappearance of an attractive neighbor triggers in him memories of a time when the trajectory of his career was marked by international conspiracies, beautiful women, fast cars and deadly gadgets. The retiree decides to put up one more fight to find the mysterious neighbor and take revenge on his former enemies.
Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzanie, the makers of „Amer,” once again draw inspiration from their favorite period - Italian genre cinema of the 1970s - to present audiences with a nostalgic, devilishly elegant and infernally sophisticated tale of cinema and longing, drenched in visual associations and audial references. The result is the most stylish spy film in the history of cinema and a cinephile's ride that has already delighted audiences at the New Horizons and Octopus Film Festivals. This film is not watched - its tasted. And each successive bite is better than the last.
